(The story to this song is simply in the lyrics)
I’m sure inside my heart is engraved I Miss you Dark
When I was a lad I had a dog
Her name was Dark
As a Puppy inseparable
That’s when she stole my heart
On my Grand pappy’s farm we played
No Cares, No Worries I didn’t give a dame
In Irelands fields we roamed
South side of Longford town
So I asked my Ma n Da
With Dark in my life I would never be alone
So I set of on a plane bound for England
Just a young lad and his dog
Well the young Lad turned into a Young Man
And My Lovely Dark, Well She got Old
Such wonderful times and memories we shared
We were inseparable, So complete
When the time came for Dark to leave me
It tore me apart
I’m sure inside my heart is engraved
I Miss you Dark
Many years passed me by
Now I’m getting old
So I left the fast lane of England
And returned to Irelands home
Greenfields – Tranquility – Serenity – Serendipity
One morning on TV just by chance
My eyes took to the screen
Couldn’t believe what I was Seeing
Amazing there she was in front of
The Lovely Dark had returned to me
In her own Special way
Even came from Longford Town
My Grand pappy’s home town
This Dog needed a Home
From now on she was never going to be alone
There was Darks double in front of me
A border collie by the name of Tilly
And when I look into her eyes
I can see Dark looking back
Nearly l makes me cry
My Soul mate has returned in disguise
Now I’m back in Paradise
To Rome the fields and Shores
No cares, No Worries, I don’t give a dame
Just as I did when I was a young lad
